Come along for an informal chat and natter and give us any feedback on any services you’re receiving for your child.

We are also having 3 Workshops so please keep these dates free in your diary too, The workshops will be attended by Claire Goss and other people from Walsall council and will involve topics where parents can have their say and help us work together in order to help to improve services we get for our children
Workshop Weds 28th March 2018 – The Royal Hotel 10am – 12pm
Topic – Plans and aims of SENDI in Walsall and how we access services including Walsall Council’s ” Local Offer” ( If you don’t know what the Local Offer is come along to find out and have a say in how we use it )

Topic – Transition, includes Reception into Year 1, Primary into Secondary and Preparing for Adulthood ( Did you know that Preparing for Adulthood starts as early as Year 8/9? )
Workshop Thurs 20th Sept 2018 10am – 12pm – Education Development Centre, Rushall, Walsall WS4 1NG
Topic – CAMHS – Children and Mental Health Services and Healthcare will be discussed and again come and have your say and find out more about how this works in Walsall
Workshop Monday 28th January 2019 10.00-13.00 – Bescot Stadium, Bescot Cresent, Walsall WS1 4SA
Topic – Content of an EHCP – drafting needs and provision with Gurvinder Kaur Consultant Solicitor in SEN Public Law
This interactive workshop will focus on sections B and F of an EHCP, providing parents with tips on good drafting and explore the difficulties with vaguely drafted provision.
Parents will be able to put the advice to practical use by attempting drafting of sections b &f with the assistance of a specialist solicitor in SEN law.
